Elisabeth Hadley [Biography]

Elisabeth Hadley

Elisabeth Hadley was born in Yorkshire, and her earliest form of creativity stemmed from making clay models as a child. Focused on her creativity Elisabeth went on to study at Sir Henry Doulton School of Sculpture. Elisabeth then started her career as an artist by working as a freelance model-maker for Aardman Animations for a year between degree and postgraduate study (Working on many tv commercials and films). Further into Elisabeth's career she has taken part in many life drawing classes and mud making, teaching others about her skills and techniques at Darlington Hall in Devon.

Elisabeth's passion for sculpting is split equally between the figurative and the stylised; she especially enjoy sculpting subjects from Greek mythology, and her classical female forms are recognised as being full of grace and beauty. Elisabeth has won several national competitions, and her work can now be found in many national and international private collections.
